The NFIP Flood Insurance Manual is revised twice a year – once in May and again in October. This year’s October changes include updates to the General Rules, Application, Preferred Risk Policy, Rating, Condominiums, Leased Federal Properties, Severe Repetitive Loss Properties, and Community Rating System sections, among others.
The Lowest Floor Guide section in particular was significantly expanded, with the inclusion of several new building illustrations and pertinent data.
The Memo from the Deputy Associate Administrator for Federal Insurance, including a detailed list of the October 1, 2011, revisions, is available online at: http://www.nfipiservice.com/pdf/may2011_revised/content/00coverletter.pdf.
The fully revised Manual (including the above changes) is available online at: http://www.nfipiservice.com/pdf/may2011_revised/index.pdf.

Connor), is available online at: http://www.nfipiservice.com/pdf/may2011_revised/Oct2011_FIM_Change_Pkg.pdf. To access a given chapter, simply click on its name.
