Honoring NFIP Stakeholders

The NFIP's annual award ceremony held at the National Flood Conference on April 30, 2007, honored outstanding stakeholders for their accomplishments in supporting the Program. These awards cover activities undertaken by Program stakeholders in 2006.

Agency of the Year Awards

Agencies are nominated for this honor on the basis of their flood portfolio growth, marketing strategies used to increase policy sales, activities undertaken to promote flood awareness, and adherence to NFIP underwriting guidelines. Winners this year were Oswald Trippe and Company, Armed Forces Insurance, and the Celedinas Agency (first won this award in 2003).

Administrator's Club Award

The Administrator's Club Award is bestowed upon Write Your Own (WYO) companies in recognition of their contributions to the growth of the NFIP. Winners are divided into five groups that represent policy base thresholds.

This year's winners were Fire Insurance Exchange, American Strategic Insurance Corporation, AIG National Insurance Company, Metropolitan Property & Casualty Insurance, and Pilgrim Insurance Company.

Administrator's Club Trophy

This award goes to the WYO company that experienced the highest percentage of overall growth in the previous year. The winner of the Administrator's Club Trophy this year was Metropolitan Property & Casualty Insurance Company.
